Description Profen Equine 100 mg/ml Oral Suspension for Horses Profen Equine is a licensed broad-spectrum anthelmintic for horses containing fenbendazole (100 mg/ml). This ready-to-use oral suspension is designed for easy administration and effective parasite control, helping to maintain your horse’s health, comfort, and performance. Key Benefits & Uses Licensed for the treatment of horses against a wide range of internal parasites. Effective against immature and mature stages of gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes, including encysted mucosal small strongyle larvae (cyathostomes). Demonstrates ovicidal activity on roundworm eggs, reducing pasture contamination. Treats: Adult large strongyles Adult and larval small strongyles Ascarids (Parascaris equorum) Pinworms (Oxyuris equi) Suitable for migrating stages of Strongylus vulgaris and Strongylus edentatus. Can be used for Strongyloides westeri infections in foals. Dosage & Administration Routine dosage: 7.5 mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight (7.5 ml per 100 kg bodyweight). Horses over 400 kg: 30 ml 3.75 ml per additional 50 kg. For specific cases: Mucosal stages of Trichonema spp.: 30 mg/kg (30 ml per 100 kg). Migrating stages of large strongyles: 60 mg/kg (60 ml per 100 kg). Encysted cyathostomes or migrating larvae: 7.5 mg/kg daily for 5 consecutive days.
